- Indicated for the short-term treatment of patients with cardiac decompensation due to depressed heart contractility, either from organic heart disease or cardiac surgical procedures
- Used to provide inotropic support when parenteral (intravenous) therapy is necessary
Features:
- Dobutamine stimulates heart muscle and improves blood flow by helping the heart pump better
- It is a 500mg dose in 250mL of 5% Dextrose, resulting in a concentration of 2000mcg/mL
